Time Settings

The scenario start and end time of the simulation is defined in this section of the configuration as well as occuring leap seconds. The time span can be configured by four distinct time systems:

• Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) (opens new window)
• Modified Julian Date, MJD (UTC) (opens new window)
• GPS Time (GPST) (opens new window)
• Galileo System Time (GST) (opens new window)

The start and end time can be set in equal or in different time systems. The end time has to be greater than the start time, otherwise an error message occurs and the time parameters will be reset.

Note

The simulation utilizes the UTC time system internally.

Leap Seconds

Occuring leap seconds within the simulation can be defined for arbitrary epochs. The leap second amount can either be +1 or -1.

NOTE

Default values are provided for leap seconds. If active, the nominal historical leap seconds are applied.
